Our Mission

THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TRAINING INSTITUTE (CDTI) IS A NONPROFIT, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FIRM DEDICATED TO STRENGTHENING THE CAPACITY OF COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND MUNICIPALITIES TO ADDRESS THE DIVERSE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITIES THEY SERVE.

We work with our clients to develop recruitment practices and retention strategies to encourage an energized and engaged board of directors and executive team.

We help clients re-imagine their organization’s business model by assess emerging trends and seizing opportunities presented by an increasingly dynamic funding environment.

Participatory Planning & Community Mapping

We work with our clients to design and facilitate a planning and need assessment process that harnesses the input of community residents, leaders, and stakeholders.

Grant Writing & Administration

We offer our clients services ranging from federal, state, and private grant research and strategy, to writing proposals, and managing awarded funds and reporting requirements.

Program Evaluation

We assist our clients in designing studies to prove that a program is being implemented as designed or to establish whether a program is generating desired effects.
