Our Mission
THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TRAINING INSTITUTE (CDTI) IS A NONPROFIT, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FIRM DEDICATED TO STRENGTHENING THE CAPACITY OF COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND MUNICIPALITIES TO ADDRESS THE DIVERSE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITIES THEY SERVE.

We work with clients to develop recruitment practices and employee retention strategies to encourage an energized and engaged team of professionals.
Business Planning
We help clients re-imagine their organization’s business model by assessing emerging trends and seizing appropriate opportunities presented by an increasingly dynamic funding environment.
Participatory Planning & Mapping
We work with clients to design and facilitate a planning and needs assessment process that harnesses the input of community residents, leaders, and stakeholders and informs on-going programmatic investments.
Grant Writing & Administration
We offer our clients services ranging from federal, state, and private grant research and strategy, to writing proposals, and managing awarded funds and reporting requirements.
Program Evaluation
We assist our clients in designing studies to prove that programs are being implemented as designed or to establish whether a program is generating desired effects.
